When Davin Brown and his wife Meg opened Meg Brown Home Furnishings in 2006, they were confident their moderately priced furniture and distinctive style would fill a niche. Davin’s operational expertise, gained from 20+ years in the home furnishing business, complements Meg’s inspired interior design aesthetic (she does much of the buying for the store), reflecting recent trends that place a premium on exuberance, creativity, and self-expression.

When you walk through the door of the couple’s spacious showroom, symmetry and matchy-matchy predictability are nowhere to be seen. Instead you wander through 11,000 square feet of inspiration: an eclectic mix of traditional and modern furniture, colorful upholstery, textural rugs, and sculptural accents that offer a fresh take on individual style. The store also stocks quality pieces from a range of well-known manufacturers, including Rowe, Stanley, Lee Industries (with its emphasis on cutting-edge “green” materials and construction), Century, and Vanguard. “We sell pieces off the floor and change our showroom weekly, which keeps our inventory evolving constantly,” explains Davin. They also offer a complimentary one-hour in-home design consultation, helping you measure your room and choose fabric, style, furniture, and accessories from their store.
