What’s clay shale, water and green all over? Brick.
Pine Hall Brick has been in business since 1922, operating three plants in Madison, and two plants in Fairmount, Georgia. The company intends to remain a locally owned business, providing superior
products to customers while operating a safe and environmentally friendly workplace.
Recent emphasis on the environment has led many consumers to demand – and many builders to specify – products that are “green.” Plant 3 produces our most popular true tumbled brick line, called the
Tidewater Series. These brick are fired with waste sawdust, diverting it from landfill disposal.
Pine Hall Brick has introduced RainPave and StormPave, among the first permeable clay paver on the market today. Brick are inherently green. Clay brick have an unsurpassed life cycle, are energy efficient, are made of natural ingredients (clay shale and water), have minimal waste in manufacture and are recyclable. The amount of energy required to mine, manufacture and transport one standard brick is 4,300 BTUs – less than concrete, glass, steel or wood.
