With a family of four children and a mother who loves to cook the kitchen was woefully inadequate. By cantilevering the floor system the kitchen was expanded 2 ft without new foundation walls in a finished backyard. The space is now much more functional for a large family. The extremely creative home owner provided many of the decorative elements including the antique panty door, the rusty backsplash center piece, and the mirrored opaque glass on the refrigerator and pantry doors. The custom built hood and arched kitchen window blend seamlessly into the newly renovated kitchen.
